The archaeological excavations of burial sites dating to the Eastern Zhou at Fenshuiling of Changzhi were carried out during the 1950s during the urban construction boom. In total, more than 600 tombs were surveyed, and most of them were extremely well preserved. This report includes 165 of those tombs and features an excellent cache of potteries and bronzes from the Eastern Zhou period (770 – 256 BCE).
