Excavations of tombs have been happening at a rapid pace in the city of Luoyang for over sixty years now. Dating to the Eastern Zhou period (770 – 256 BCE), over 800 tombs had been discovered when in 2002, during the construction of a the new Capital City Square business district, 397 more tombs were found. This report analyzes 194 of those tombs and the wide array of cultural relics that were unearthed from them, including pottery, jade, bronzes and more.
