This book edition covers the artifacts displayed in Special Exhibition: Qing Archival and Cartographical Materials on River Engineering in the National Palace Museum. The exhibition is divided into three sections, which are "Famous Rivers and Lakes", "Measures in River Regulation", and "Famous Governors in River Regulation". The first section centers on "land," which will show maps of the Yellow River, the Huai River, and the Grand Canal where readers will see the landforms of these great rivers and lakes. The second section dwells on "achievements," illustrating the various examples of river regulation by Qing government and officials when faced with the great floods, and their remediation proposals and eventual actions. The third section talks about "people," introducing few of Qing's most important governors in river regulation.
