Ninanji Temple has been endowed with an exceptional collection of temple treasures by maintaining its deep ties with the successive generations of emperors since Ninna period. This exhibition catalogue presents an unprecedented once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view the famed treasures of Ninnaji. 174 works of treasures of Ninnaji are featured, together with Buddhist sculptures and other precious artifacts preserved at temples of the Omuro branch. They are categorized into sections: History of the Ninnaji Omuro, the World of Esoteric Ritual, the Omuro Treasure House, the Edo-period Revivial of Ninnaji and the Kannon Hall, Sacred Buddhas of the Omuro Tradition.
