Dong Son Culture, which lasted about 1000 years from the 7th to 2nd centuries BC, is considered the peak of metallurgical technique in the Vietnam history. Dong Son Drums, or the Heger I Bronze Drum according to the classification of the Austrian archaeologist, Franz Heger, are divided into three parts: a bulging shoulder, a slim body, and an expanding base.
